Infused Water - Add Some Flavor and Fun to Your Water

Are you drinking at least 8-10 8-ounce glasses of water per day? 

If you are, are having trouble enjoying the taste, or lack of taste, in the water?

Water can be a bit boring and that can make it challenging to drink enough.

Fortunately, there are a lot of great ways to spice up the flavor of water without compromising the purity and nutritional value of the water itself!

Not only that, but infused water can aid in the detoxification and cleansing of our bodies. 

Read on for 5 delicious combinations to add flavor to your water this winter!

1. Strawberry Mojito Infused Water

Thinly slice 3 strawberries, one-half of a lemon, and 6 mint leaves. Add to one 20-ounce glass of water.

This minty fresh, sweet and tart infused water will top the charts for favorite infused waterthis season.

Enjoy the strawberries after finishing your 20-ounce beverage. Strawberries are loaded with antioxidants, folate, and Vitamin C. Perfect additions to supplement your nutrition plan.

2. Kiwi Surprise Infused Water

Peel and slice one or two kiwis and add the slices to a 1-liter bottle of water (32 ounces). 

Refrigerate until the beverage is cold and enjoy!

Winter is the perfect time to try this simple yet tasty combination of water and kiwis. Not only is this combination refreshing and hydrating, but it’s also packed with vitamins and minerals to help you stay healthy during the colder months. Kiwis are loaded with Vitamin C and aid in digestion.

Plus, the sweet and tangy flavor of the kiwis is a great way to add some extra flavor to your water.

3. Sweet Lemon-Berry Infused Water

This unique twist on lemon water is sure to be a favorite this winter.

Thinly slice 1 lemon, 4 dates, and 2 cups of organic blackberries (or raspberries).

Place the chopped fruit into a pitcher of water – approximately 32 ounces. If you want, you can strain the chopped fruit from the water after it has infused long enough in the refrigerator (2-3 hours).

Lemons help with digestion and berries are full of antioxidants. Dates are an excellent choice for a sweetener if you’re looking to honor your body’s natural cues. They provide natural sweetness without the added sugars and artificial ingredients that can often be found in processed foods, making them a healthier option for those who want to follow an intuitive eating approach. Plus, dates are a great source of vitamins and minerals like iron, calcium, and magnesium, so you can enjoy their sweetness without compromising your wellness or eating habits.

4. Cucumber Lavender Infused Water

Wash and thinly slice one organic cucumber. Dice one sprig of fresh lavender and add to 32 ounces of water.

Refrigerate for 2-3 hours, strain, and enjoy!

Cucumbers and lavender make a delicious, healthy, and refreshing combination when added to water.

Cucumbers are a great source of hydration and contain a variety of vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and Potassium.

Lavender is known for its calming and soothing effects and also contains antioxidants that can help boost your immune system. When combined, cucumber and lavender infused water can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, boost your metabolism, and help with digestion.

Additionally, this delicious drink can help reduce inflammation, improve skin health, and give your body essential electrolytes.

5. Orange Ginger Infused Water

Peel and chop 1 tablespoon of ginger and thinly slice 2 oranges.

Add to 32 ounces of water and refrigerate.

Ginger and oranges are great additions to infused water! Ginger is known to aid in digestion, and can help reduce nausea. Oranges are packed with Vitamin C, which can boost your immune system and help protect against oxidative stress. Both of these ingredients can help to detoxify the body and keep it functioning optimally. Additionally, the combination of ginger and oranges can give your infused water a refreshing, delicious flavor!

 

To get the most out of your infused water, let the fruits and herbs steep for a while so the natural vitamins and minerals can be released into the water. This will make it more flavorful and beneficial for you to drink.

These recipes may be doubled to create a stronger taste or to make a larger batch of infused water at a time!
